TAKS Resources

March 29th, 2006

The Texas Education Agency has several resources that are intended for TAKS information and preparation.

Many other sites offer help and information pertaining to the TAKS. Some of the better ones are:

  • Scott Hochberg.com - Information includes a cover sheet that has the number of correct questions for a passing rate ; the test questions ; the answer key and objectives tested.
  • Track - this site from the University of Texas Telecampus offers a comprehensive program for preparing students for the EXIT level TAKS.
  • Dallas County Schools - Provides a detailed analysis of every question on the 2003 and 2004 released tests. This site also offers TAKS tips and strategies.

Curriculum Guides

March 19th, 2006

My name is John Bouyer and I currently teach 8th grade Science in Texas. April 20th will be our testing date. By clicking on my picture on the Texaseducator.com site any Texas teacher will be able to access complete curriculum guides and easily link to state developed Taks helps such as online tests and information booklets.

A New Idea In Curriculum

March 19th, 2006

I am now able to syndicate my teaching resources to anyone by RSS transfer. This will allow an even larger audience to access the resources. Once accessed teachers will be allowed to actually contribute to building additional resources and modifying existing ones by posting comments on my syndicated feeds. I will then take these comments and use them to customize the information.
